Mosasaurus lived during the Late Cretaceous period and was one of the dominant ocean predators, hunting fish, ammonites, and other marine animals. Although often called a “dinosaur” in toy lines, Mosasaurus was actually a marine lizard related to modern snakes and monitor lizards.
