In the wild, garden eels live in burrows on ocean floors and sway upright in the current while feeding on drifting plankton. The spotted garden eel is known for its pale body with dark markings, while the splendid garden eel has bold orange-and-white banding, making the pair especially striking together. Their shy, pop-up behavior makes them a favorite sight in aquariums and a great subject for a small display build.
