This Nanoblock kit recreates the Historic Villages of Shirakawa-go, famous for their steeply thatched gassho-zukuri farmhouses in Japan’s Gifu Prefecture. The dramatic roof shape was designed to shed heavy mountain snow and resembles hands pressed together in prayer. Shirakawa-go, together with nearby Gokayama, is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its beautifully preserved rural architecture and traditional mountain village landscape.
