Kaminarimon, or “Thunder Gate,” is the famous outer gate of Senso-ji Temple in Asakusa, Tokyo. Its giant red lantern and guardian statues make it one of the city’s most recognizable landmarks and a popular entrance point to the lively Nakamise shopping street. This Nanoblock kit recreates the gate’s bold red pillars, black tiled roof, and lantern detail in miniature form. The real gate has been destroyed and rebuilt several times, with the current structure dating from 1960.
