Build the Imperial Japanese Navy aircraft carrier *Akagi*, one of Japan’s most famous carriers of World War II. Originally laid down as a battlecruiser, *Akagi* was converted into an aircraft carrier under naval treaty limits and became the flagship of the carrier force that attacked Pearl Harbor in December 1941. The ship later fought at the Battle of Midway, where it was critically damaged and scuttled in June 1942.
