The Nanoblock Nankai 50000 Series Rapi:t recreates Osaka’s striking blue airport express train, famous for its rounded, retro-futuristic front and oval windows. The real Rapi:t entered service in 1994 to connect Namba with Kansai International Airport, which opened the same year. Designed by architect Hiroyuki Wakabayashi, the 50000 series became one of Japan’s most recognizable limited express trains and won the 1995 Blue Ribbon Award for railway design.
