This Nanoblock kit recreates the Class 922 Doctor Yellow T3, JR West’s bright yellow Shinkansen inspection train. Nicknamed “Doctor Yellow” for its diagnostic role and distinctive color, the real train checked tracks, signals, and overhead wires at high speed on the Tokaido and Sanyo Shinkansen lines. The T3 set was built in 1979 and retired in 2005, and sightings of Doctor Yellow became famous among rail fans because its schedule was not publicly announced.
