The nanoGauge Shinkansen Series E6 Komachi kit recreates JR East’s sleek E6 “Komachi” mini-shinkansen, known for its vivid red-and-white livery and long aerodynamic nose. The real E6 entered service in 2013 on the Akita Shinkansen, where it couples with E5 series trains on the Tohoku Shinkansen before splitting off toward Akita. Its design was inspired by the Namahage folklore of Akita, giving the train its striking crimson look and sharp profile. This Nanoblock model captures the train’s streamlined shape and multi-car layout in compact brick form.
